SMI Fashion Taskforce launches Digital ID

WWD

Tackling some of the toughest problems in the fashion industry requires collaboration. The Sustainable Markets Initiative, set up by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, aims to accelerate sustainable business transformation by uniting key industry stakeholders around a common goal. EON's Founder and CEO, Natasha Franck, was invited to participate in the SMI Fashion Taskforce, along with CEOs from the world’s leading luxury brands including Burberry, Stella McCartney, Gabriela Hearst and Georgio Armani.

At G20 in Rome, the Taskforce announced their plans to roll out Digital ID across all their products by 2025. This commitment marks a significant turning point in the industry’s pursuit of traceability and circularity. The capacity of EON’s Digital ID to extend the longevity of products and enable brands to proactively scale circular business models has been commended by HRH The Prince of Wales.
