At the inaugural COP28 Business and Philanthropy Climate Forum, EON Founder + CEO, Natasha Franck, shared the stage with fashion leaders including Stella McCartney, Riccardo Stefanelli, Federico Marchetti, Omoyemi Akerele and Patrick Chalhoub to discuss the urgent need for sustainable business transformation across the fashion industry.

Key learnings:

  • The speakers discussed some of the industry’s solutions for achieving a more sustainable future – from innovations in manufacturing to dynamic cross-industry collaborations.
  • The panel went into depth on topics about policy and new technologies. Innovations like Digital Product Passports are not only an upcoming legislative mandate, but are also enabling brands to collect, analyze and share data across the supply chain to support new circular services and customer engagement.
  • Natasha Franck shared how Digital Product Passports are one of the biggest leverage points to unlocking a more sustainable and equitable industry for all – creating an interoperable system for managing products end-to-end.

"The concept is simple. Each product gets an ID that stewards it from the time it's produced through resale and regeneration. With product ID, the world moves towards holding companies responsible for their waste because you can trace the entire lifecycle of their products and materials."
